Is it a realistic option for a second income for an absolute novice? Any advice welcome

It is possible to make a fairly decent amount of money. The only risk is making a mistake so be sure that you fully understand it before you start. There are lots of guides online so do lots of reading first.

One thing I would say, if you have a gambling mentality, be careful as the temptation to gamble your ‘winnings’ could become too much to resist.

In my experience, I made money from the initial sign up offers, but very very little since. People seem to be able to make a lot of money from it, but sadly that’s not me!

The bookies and casinos allow it because it gives them a shop window for their more lucrative wares (slots). They know a percentage of punters will develop a lucrative (for them) gambling addiction. You're gambling it's not you. Can you afford that?

There are quite a few threads on MN already - have a search. In short yes you can make a decent second income if you know what you're doing. Big emphasis on knowing what you're doing. Don't attempt otherwise.

Thanks everyone. Will take all your advice on board.
