Guys please help, my very irresponsible soon to be partner has had a bailiff come to the house today, a removal van is currently on its its way to remove our goods. Is there anything they can't touch? I don't have any money at all, my electricity is running low and my mental health is hitting rock bottom. I suffer with bipolar disorder and severe anxiety. Please help

Where is your very irresponsible soon to be partner and why isn't he dealing with this?

Emma765 · 08/10/2018 11:49

Is it just his debt? Does he actually still live there? They can't take anything that's yours if the debt us his, but you need to be able to prove it's yours. They also can't take fridge, oven and other things you need.

They shouldn't enter if vulnerable people are present, do you consider you fall under this with your mental health?

Oh I read it as ex partner.

We are splitting, about to go our separate ways to new homes in 2 weeks. He is here but he can't raise the money. I can't prove that everything is mine so I have no choice. My electricity went off half an hour ago and my son is due home in less than 4 hours. I handed over what I had to them but it just wasn't enough. Thank you for replying x

Please get together what ever paper work you can and go to your local citizens advice bureau, he may have other debts at bailiff stage. There are things he should've done before it got to this stage see if they can help in case of anymore visits
