I can't find a website /phone number to call to check this out. It just sounds like a strange telephone number to me. It's 0701 followed by 7 other digits.
Does anyone know please?

TIA

from 0701 to 0709 are premium rate numbers.

thank you for the replies. I hate these premium numbers and I think it should be mandatory for there to be a message played to you when you dial the number explaining the charges before you are then put through so that you have the option to cancel the call.
This was for a football coaching group that has an after school session at my son's school. I know it's daft but it's really put me off him going

Cost of Calling FleXtel numbers

Calls to FleXtel numbers are charged by the caller's phone company (e.g. BT, C&W, etc.) at a specific rate per minute. This value depends on the phone service used to call FleXtel numbers. For demonstration purposes, we have used BT rates as an example in the table below.

Service Caller charges per minute*
(day/evening/weekend)
Personal Numbers
0701 35p at all times.
Business Numbers
0871 10p at all times.
0870 8p/4p/2p
0844 5p at all times.
0845 4p/2p/1p

Notes:
Outbound calls are made, as normal, via your existing phone company (e.g. BT, C&W etc.) and costs are specific to your phone company's calling rates. FleXtel is not involved in any outbound calls, with the exception of FNP use.
FNP is a free feature of the FleXtel service. Dialling the destination number is also free, as the cost is already covered by your call to the FNP service (the same as calling any normal Flextel number). Visit our FNP page to find out more.

  • All rates are inclusive of VAT and are accurate at the time of publishing. For BT's latest calling rates, visit their website. ? For differences between Personal and Business numbers in their routing services, go to our Which Service Do I Need? page. ? For more details, see our Terms & Conditions of Service.
