Would your wages be £2000?

Surely work have an obligation to correct the mistake without you having to wait a whole month?

littlemissbossy · 13/06/2007 15:05

couldn't you just get a short term overdraft/overdraft extension from the bank?

Lolly68 · 13/06/2007 15:09

If your employer has messed up then they have to pay you in another way. They cannot tell you otherwise.

Phone your bank and arrange a £2K overdraft - they should be fine about it when they know the money is coming - just delayed.

You might need a letter to confirm from employer. Also employers should pay for the overdraft fee and any interest.

Twiglett · 13/06/2007 15:22

then you insist they give you cash

it is out of order for you to have to sort out their incompetency IMO

is it a big company?

fireflyfairy2 · 13/06/2007 15:23

How did they balls up?

Even if they forgot to add your bonus, then they should still have had your normal wages ready!

Did they mess anyone elses wages up?

Make sure they know how they have left you in the lurch financially!!

Darciesmum · 13/06/2007 15:26

wasn't just me, was everyone else in the dept, and sum of us were given payrises with sum contractual changes. apparently they had major system failures. but that doesn't help us when we have bills to pay, alrite for directors when they have thousands sat in the bank!

I would also make your employer pay if you have incurred any bank charges also. Outrageous behaviour!

lizziemun · 13/06/2007 16:09

Get them to write you a cheque, they have no rights to delay your wages until next month.

If they don't want to do a cheque get them to do an urgent transfer for money to go into your bank today.

I worked for Capita Property Services a few years ago (1997/1999), they had probelm with our wages and they were able to do emergency payments for us.

Darciesmum · 14/06/2007 12:54
