It's giving me ridiculous figures.

Working 38 hours a week on £18K a year, it's saying I'm entitled to -

£855 Working Tax credits

£765 Child Tax credits

£2,900+ a month in total, including my salary.

Surely that can't be right?

It's just the one DC on the claim, along with myself and no partner.
My salary is £1300ish a month. That would give me
