I've been following the money saving experts route to reclaim my bank charges from HSBC...

i got my bank statements sent to me 3 days after i sent the letter! (wow i thought! and no charge either!)

...i immediatly sent back a list of charges and a letter asking for them to be refunded, i stated a 14 day reply time.
....heard nothing within 14 days...

...so done the 2nd letter asking again for refund and to not ignore as i was aiming to take it to court if it cant be settled...
...still heard nothing after 7 days (21 days after original letter)...

so i went into the branch and asked why i had not heard a reply and was told that there was a back-log of claims and that i wont be ignored but should go back in 2 weeks time if i've not heard anyhting.

surely this is breaching the time stated on my letters and they should not ignore that! am i just being impatient and just wait 2 more weeks?
anyone else have experiance with HSBC claims?

are you having/had the same problem with HSBC? how did yours turn out??

I asked for a 14 day answer from barclays, recieved a letter stating it would take up to 8 weeks (their legel time limit). IMO, banks are so full with these complaints, that it is taken time, but ask for a date as to when you should expect an offer etc.
