Hope someone can help
I paid a childcare provider in cash for about 6months. I then changed provider and paid via online banking.
After investigation ....
Hmrc will now not award me anything for that period as they say they have incefficent evidence even though I included a letter from said provider.

Has anyone had anything similar?

They would need proper invoices I would imagine. I don't think paying in cash is the problem but you would need to provide invoices and receipts from the childminder.

They would need their registration number plus invoices that the provider will have on file - electronically or paper.

Just ask your childcare
Provider to let you have an invoice which you can send to hmrc

I gave them a letter from her but it looked like a 5yr old wrote it to be fair 🤦🏼‍♀️
