Child benefit - change in circumstances

We stopped claiming CB when the new £50-60k threshold came in as DH was well over the limit & I was pushing it.

There has been a huge change in our financial circumstances, due to DH losing his job & me going self-employed, and we still have 1 DC (16) in full time education.

We did not do that thing where you keep getting it & pay it back through tax, we stopped it completely.

Does anyone know if it's possible to start claiming it again?

Thanks

You can restart the payments but it only backdates up to 3 months.

Yes you can restart it at any time
