So confused!! Self employed maternity allowance?

Anyone clued up on how maternity allowance etc would work for me? I work in the local butchers, 14.5 hours a week but I'm also self employed cleaning, about 14 hours a week. How would this work for getting maternity allowance? I would really like to ditch the job and just go self employed as would fit in with DS starting nursery in a couple weeks better! But I'm scared that when I have second baby (ttc at moment) that would be me leaving myself worse off? I'm in Scotland i don't know if that makes a difference! Any help much appreciated xx
