Took over a year to sort out dh's dad's estate, I'm afraid. Very slow solicitor, very difficult to track down all the paperwork and all his accounts though, his affairs were in a huge mess.

My Gran died 4 months ago. She didn't leave a will but only had one son (my Dad) - everything has just been sorted in this last week or so, so around 4 months.
