Get Euro now for Feb 2019?

We have to pay approx €1600 directly to our hotel in February, in cash or card on arrival.

With sterling’s current instability, Brexit and likelihood of increasing instability would it be sensible to get the cash out in € now?

Obviously no-one knows exactly how things will go but I’m completely clueless as to how things might play out. Would those who understand things in greater depth politically advise to get the cash together now or wait?

Lots of people will say they know - anyone with any true idea is a multi-millionaire.
In reality it depends how risk averse you are and how tight your budget is. Getting it now gives you a fixed GBP cost and piece of mind.

It’s unlikely the rate will be significantly better than it is now (if better at all). To remove some of the risk, I would buy a proportion now but maybe not all of it.

No-one knows - it's like betting on red or black at the casino. The only thing you can do to hedge your bets is get half the money now. If currency exchange goes against you, you've only lost half the money you would have, if you had waited.
