We're coming to the end of our discount mortgage period, so we're just sorting out a remortgage to a fixed rate. As usual there's an application fee and an arrangement fee, but we're also being asked to pay a notice fee because our property is leasehold! We're trying to get out of it because our lease says we only have to pay 2 pounds, and the building soc solicitors are asking for 100 pounds. dh is going to ring them today. Has anyone else had experience of this?
