Advice on SMP and returning to work

Hi everyone. My dd is 19 weeks and I am currently on my 21st week of maternity leave. I have resigned from my job last week (issues with a lying manager) and I have received the lump sum of my remaining SMP in my final wage.
I have been offered a new job, which is due to start in September and I am wondering how it will work as I presume I would need to pay back some of my SMP. Has anyone experienced this, how would I go about sending it back. I have looked online and at HMRC site, but I'm not getting any info. Before accepting the role I need to make some calculations to see if it's worthwhile returning to work or waiting a couple of months and keeping on SMP.
TIA

Yes you will need to repay some of the SMP. You need to notify your old employer who will tell you how much to repay.
