Applied for mortgage and terrified

We have applied for a mortgage, through a broker, but I am terrified of being turned down.
My credit score is excellent but I had defaults in 2013 and struggle to get credit.
Our broker things we'll be ok but I am panicking from what I read on the internet.

I'm sure it'll be fine. The defaults were 5 years ago so historic. Some mainstream lenders would even consider it as it's over 36 months ago (depending on their criteria for the amount of the default).

Your broker would have checked the lenders criteria and made sure it fits with them, and if your credit score is excellent it should pass no problem.
