Trying to figure out how much SMP I will get after deductions. Anyone got a clue?

Will I pay tax and national insurance insurance?

I started my mat leave end of April, first 3 payments are pretty much full pay so still paying tax and NI on this. Next month will be a big drop and I need to know exact amount I will get.

I tried asking my pay roll departmnet but they are useless and just don't get back to me

I can't remember about NI but I don't think pay it, and if you do it's minimal. You definitely won't pay tax on it as it is under the threshold.

Only pay NI if earning over £162 per week.
I think flat rate SMP is still around £140 so you shouldn't pay NI but tax will depend partly on how much you have earnt so far this year. You may end up overpaying and getting a refund in March or April.
