Congrats on getting your money from Natwest. They have finally received my claim (after losing it in the post even though they signed for it) so I then had to fax it through to an Edinburgh number. I have a claim number at last. When I spoke to them today they said that it will take up to 40 days to respond to my claim. I pointed out that I said I want a response within 14 days and the girl said everyone does but you will have to wait 40 days. Can they do this???

Yes that is what they said to me, well actually they said they have 8 weeks to respond, i too had put 14 days but i held on.

It did take about 6 weeks from me sending the letter, for them to send anything at all, infact this is why i phoned up to make sure they had recieved it grrrr!

The one and only reply i recieved was the offer of almost all my money back (claimed 1900 and they offered £1865).

It is a waiting game unfortunately but up to you if you want to take it further now, claiming is looking a bit dodgy now as apparently there have been quite a few cases thrown out of court, the banks are started to refuse now so that is a little worrying

Thanks Pucca for replying. I will just have to wait and see what happens. I have asked for a lot back so hopefully they will give me something.

I have also opened a new account so will be closing Natwest run regardless of what happens. Not giving them anymore of my money!
