Tax credit help

DH works full time and i currently work 10 hours. We get £250 tax credits per month. I have been offered another job at 15 hours per week which means i will loose tax credits. The extra hours is only guarnateed for a year but potentially longer. If i took on job for a year what way do my tax credits work the following year as financially we couldnt afford not to get them when im not working the extra 15 hours. Thanks

You would need to be careful as if you live in a full service Universal credit area and you stop your tax credit claim then you may need to go onto Universal credit instead. seek advice from CAB as to what would happen.

we would be going down to £15 every 4 weeks instead of the 250 according to the tax credit calculator. Not sure when we go to universal credit so will need to look into it.
