Were do you even start with all this! I’ve been trying to research myself but I can’t make head nor tail of any of it.

I’m looking at smaller investments. Not substantial amounts of money.

Anyone got any recommendation of a real dummies guide if were to start?

The Daily Telegraph Guide To Investing.
Quite a basic book about starting out in investing.

You will most likely want to start with investing using a Stocks&Shares ISA. ISA is the tax wrapper that means you do not pay tax on the growth of your investments brought within the annual ISA limit.

Meaningful Money podcast is great for finding out about UK investing.
You can find it via Apple Podcast, Google Play, Stitcher and online.

There are a couple of hundred episodes and new ones weekly, so hard to know where to start but perhaps the one linked above as it is about preparing for investing.

Then after that episode go on to the next one which is a basic introduction to investing. meaningfulmoney.tv/2013/02/12/mmp006-an-introduction-to-investing-an-interview-with-justin-urquhart-stewart-podcast/

The savings and investment board of the Moneysavingexpert forum is very good. There are many knowledgable real life financial advisors on there. I found it very helpful when setting up a S&S ISA on an online platform.
