Will confusion

Hi All,
Can anyone offer any advice....
A relative who my brother and i were close to has passed away and unfortunately matters of their will have caused a rift in the family, very long and complicated story.
My brother and i would like to access the will to see why.
Neither of us are executors of the will but i understand that if a will has gone to probate that it becomes publicly accessible.
My question is, would the executors know if we accessed a copy of the will?
If they did it may cause upset for another relative.
I hope this makes sense and that someone can give a bit of info.
Thanks in advance.
Bee x

Once a will has been submitted and the executors are appointed, anyone can access the document.

It's how heir hunters and genealogists work.
