Maternity Allowance - how long?

HI all,

I sent my maternity allowance forms and matb1 certificate off to dwp last week, I received a text Friday saying they had been received and the claim will take up to 24 working days to be processed, I was hoping to start receiving money from 24th June.
Has anyone else claimed recently and bow quickly was the claim dealt with?

For me it was the full 24 days before my claim was even looked at, then I received a text and a letter saying it was being awarded, but would be another 5-10 working days before they gave me a backdated payment in line with the date that I put I wanted to start my ML, and the date my regular payments start from is in two weeks time.
