How do I do a balance transfer?

I have a cc with £3.5k on it. I'm paying double the min payments monthly.

I've been on money supermarket and have been told I have a 9.5/10 chance on some cards. Am interested in Barclays.

Says assumed credit limit £1.2k though....

So how does that work when I want to transfer £3.5k?

Sorry to be thick I don't understand this. Also my fault with the debt paying for Vet bills, should have had pet insurance. Hindsight!

cc is now cut up.

It is assumed because they don’t know how much they can lend you until you apply.
I work for a CC company. With a BT, you transfer the debt from one UK credit card to another. You would call us and one of our specially trained BT associates would do all the process for you.

You need both card numbers however!

Does the Barclaycard have a 0% interest offer at the moment?

When you apply, it will ask you if you would like to do a Balance Transfer - you click yes and enter the details of the card you want to transfer from and the amount. It will do it automatically if you are accepted, and it will also offer for you to set up a Direct Debit.

Some credit card companies as part of the application process as what limit you would like, or how much you want to transfer. Whether you get the limit you want is another matter

I did the barclays one for the same thing, 0% for 30 months - my limit is just over 5k

Virgin credit cards are good for BT deals...
