Hi.
As above - my oh is leaving our home on 20th June (i hope). I have just gone back to work f-t after 8 years at home with the children.
I work 40 hrs a week, earn £30k, have 2 primary school aged children. Obviously I know the termly childccare costs but holiday will depend on who I can palm them off on - when I fill out the application form do I enter the amount it would cost if I was to have the children with a childminder for the whole holidays? She charges £70 per day for 2 children, 10 hours per day. Or do I tell hmrc when they are with family?
Thanks

It won't be the whole holidays though- presumably you will have annual leave some of which you will take in the holidays and assuming your ex having them some of the holidays. You don't want to end up with an overpayment.

That's exactly it, I don't want to end up with an over payment so how am I supposed to work it out? Ex will have them for 1 week over the hols. Hopefully my in laws will cover a week but that's not definite

I'd overestimate and ring them at the end of the summer holidays with the revised figure. They'll update and adjust it for you.
