I have sent off my maternity grant form last Wednesday and had a text message today saying they have received my application And they will make a decision in the next 10 working days, I'm worried as I don't know if I be able to get it even though the lady said on the phone I'm eligible for it the situation is this:

I am 30 weeks pregnant I have 3 other children but do not live with me I haven't claimed for any of them before for maternity grant,I don't receive any child benefit And child tax obviously because they am not in my care I live alone recieve income based esa never worked my income is not a lot of course I live by myself my unborn baby will be the only child in my home it is really worrying me as I rely on the grant and it will get me everything I need for her what do you think? Is anyone in same situation? Thanks

If you can't get it then baby items can be picked up easily in charity shops, freecycle etc. Babies don't need to cost a lot. You will get child tax credits and child benefit when the baby is born or Universal credit depending on your area.
