Hi all, please help!
Looking to buy a house but getting nowhere. Budget is £350,000 ish, need 3+ bedrooms for dcs.

Husband needs to be on a train line to London and ideally wants a one train commute, less than an hour (To either kings cross or Farringdon) I work from home so not too bothered where as long as I'm near a town or shops I can Potter around if I get bored!

Am I dreaming or are there nice areas with nice schools and nice green bits and nice houses in our budget and commutable to London?!

How about Letchworth or Royston? - Both pleasant enough with good schools and affordable on your budget. Letchworth closer but Royston is around 45 mins into Kings Cross. Cambridge not too far either.

Try Peterborough. 45 minutes into Kings Cross, you'll get a lot for your money there.

Don't forget to budget the season ticket.

What about out towards Aylesbury or Tring? Both are on main lines into London and less than an hour.

Newark? Grantham?
