Pension problems

My last 2 pension statements have been massively wrong, stating my start date as Feb 2017 when it should be Dec 1992! I contacted my pension administrator a year ago and they have told me they are trying to get the correct details but are now ignoring any emails I send for an update. I've also emailed my HR but they are also ignoring me. I've done a subject access request for all my work dates etc but haven't yet got this.
Is there anything else I can do in the mean time? It's a civil service pension.

Hi Falcon

Did you change employer within the civil service in Feb 2017? It may be that they have recorded a change of employer date but the previous service is still there - can you tell if this is the case from what’s on the rest of the statement? Equally, it may be that if you changed employer they have set you up with a new pension record and you may need to make some sort of option to merge your records together - I would have expected them to have written to you if that was the case though! It’s very frustrating that you’re not getting any answers. There will be a formal complaints procedure you can go through - you should be able to find details of this on the administrators website.

Long shot, but that’s not the date you moved into alpha is it? I know some people joined at different dates depending on their age when the scheme was introduced.

Thanks for replies! I haven't moved jobs in a long time (2001) so it's not that. Also that may have been when I moved to Alpha, not sure about that. But shouldn't it all just slide over and show my whole pension? I've asked around and only 1 other person is having a problem like this, and she's had no luck sorting it out. She was even wanting to partially retire soon but can't until it's sorted out!
