I have received an email, it's a legitimate company etc and it says I have a CCJ against me for a debt outstanding with them. I checked the register and its not on there. I've also checked my credit report and its not on there either.. Could they be making it up to scare me?

Probably a random attempt to track down someone with a similar name. If you know which court issued it contact them.
