Retail Trust Grant - Have you received one?

Hi all,

I recently applied for a grant from the retail trust to help with a new rental deposit that for various reasons I just can't afford right now.
Has anyone had any experience with the Retail Trust or been accepted for one of these grants?

I'm just wondering how long I should wait for a response to my application before I look into taking out a loan or some other emergency action. I sent them an email but all they said is that they deal with applications in the order they're received - how does that help me with a timescale? They could receive 1000 applications a day for all I know!

I have already contacted the helpline and was just told that my form has been received. If you could give me any more information about when it will be reviewed it would be much appreciated!

Just a question what mean on the application Tier 1 approved? I made my application some time ago gave all the paper work but still not much info of how much we can get

Just to say I've made applications to the retail trust in the past for clients and they do an amazing job.

Hi I know this a very old post but I was wondering how you got on @PinkShake? IV just made an application.

@Nkb15 Hey! My application got accepted! I can't remember exactly how long it took in the end to finally get the approval but once I did the transaction was quick and smooth. They've been amazing! And no stress from them to repay since, I guess until I move out and then they get the deposit money back. Good luck :)

I just had a look on the portal. Does anyone know what it means when my application status says grant promised??

Retail trust is a waist of time. They made me jump tru hoops for 2 months to promise me 350 pounds. Promise. I still have to get the bank details of the place the money is promised to and that's not right it will be denied all while giving a month to get them as if I need this. After a recent suicide attempt. But sure its grand. I mean I love jumping hoops for pettens.
