Universal credit help

I’m on universal credit and currently 37+5 weeks pregnant, once the baby is born and I update my circumstances with them I will be entitled to more money.
What I want to know is will the change of circumstances process delay any payments?
I have already asked universal credits and they weren’t very helpful.

It shouldn't delay things but depending what date in your UC assessment period your baby is born will depend how far back the child element is backdated.

My assessment period is between the 23rd and 22nd of each month and I’m due on the 28th
I’m not bothered about not getting the extra money right away, just as long as the current money I get doesn’t get delayed.
