Hi everyone
So I have recently split from my partner and I am waiting for my child tax credit payments to start.
I was just wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes as I’m running out of money fast 🙈 I rang up on Tuesday.

They are usually quicker with it going from joint to single claim than the other way around. Possibly 2-3 weeks, maybe a little longer. It really depends on how busy they are.

I changed from single to joint,received my form Friday 9th, sent it on the Saturday 10th, called up today and it's been processed and payment is due at the end of the week, so they're moving fairly quickly right now hopefully yours will not take much longer
