Here we go again - another credit application in my name that isn't mine

Just got the post, another letter from a different bank informing me that someone is using my identity!!! when will this end? does it go on forever? anyone???

when it happened to me it took approx 18 months to sort out. I found it upsetting at first but got used to it and just sent back standard letters each time saying that it wasn't me and had already been reported. This was very helpful when the debt collection agencies started as I had evidence that I had tried to sort it out as soon as I found out about it. This doesn't change the legal position - they can't make them your debts just because they're in your name - but it did make it a bit easier to sort out I think. Sorry you're going through this.
