Debt, budgets and apps

I really need to sort my finances out - every month I am running out of money earlier and earlier before payday.

I also have significant debt that I need to get on top of.

Can anyone recommend any really good apps to help me out?

I could have written that!

I am looking for the same sort of thing. I downloaded one called OnTrees which is by the MSE people but I cannot get it to link to any of my accounts despite all the info being correct so still on the lookout for a decent app!

Glad it's not just me! Fingers crossed someone will come along who can help us!

Have a look at the spreadsheets thread on this board

I'm currently working on a budget management sheet

the debt clearance sheet works rather well

YNAB helped me get to grips with my money and get out of debt. It’s a zero based budgeting system.

I have just found one that works!

It's called Money Database. It's on the App Store and it's free. Works in the same way OnTrees does, you allow it read only access to your bank accounts, credit accounts, etc and it shows you real-time figures of what is going in and out of your accounts and creates charts to show your spending habits.

You can also set up budgets so it will inform you when you have gone over budget. For example, I have set up a spend limit for things like food shopping, clothes, etc

@chauffeurmummy see the above

Squirrel
You pay your money in and it pays you it back when bills become due and splits your money into weekly spending etc. Also set up saving pots 😊

Sorry, it's called Money Dashboard!

I really like YNAB.
