I'm looking for advice regarding the above company who have been taking £35 a month out of my bank account since March 2016. (I don't know how I didn't notice this, I assumed it was something I was paying for or my husband and obviously I am a lot more cautious when checking monthly statements now!)

I have stopped this payment with the bank and they have processed a refund on JustFab's behalf for the past 11 months but cannot process further back than that as it's against their policy.

JustFab have confirmed that I have never purchased anything from them and don't have an active VIP membership (which you pay £35 a month for!!!!) but keep saying I need to provide the right email address for my account. I do have a log in for them and have provided this and I know it's the right email address as I can see this information on my profile on their website.

I have sent screen shots of this, the monthly charge from them on my bank statements but am getting no where. They have stopped responding to my emails and every time I call them I get the same scripted response asking for my correct shipping address and email address. I only have one email address and haven't moved house in 5 years so can't provide another address.

So where can I go from here?! Does anyone have any advice?! I can't believe I have been stupid enough to not notice this for almost 2 years but I suppose that's a story for another thread!

If you never agreed to pay the £35 can’t the bank investigate it as fraud?

happydays00 · 30/01/2018 19:33

They refunded me the monthly amounts for up to 12 months ago but said they can't assist beyond that and I need to speak with JustFab myself? I know it seems odd to me too but they were unwavering on that timeframe

I signed up once and bought 1 pair of shoes. Apparently you're signed up then and you are charged 35 per month regardless unless you go on and "skip"the month....I didn't realise till 2 months after and ended up getting through to an American call centre and refused a refund point blank and had to spend the money on shoes I didn't even want Hmm I've read endless posts on fb about people saying they had fallen into their trap/conned by them. Wouldn't mind but the shoe quality is also rubbish and doesn't fit properly. They need shutting down!

happydays00 · 31/01/2018 06:43

But I haven't purchased a pair of shoes from them and they've confirmed this?

It's so odd that they got all your details too, you're right to be worried! It's definitely a con Angry

They are also linked with another company, I'm pretty sure. Can't for the life of me think of the name, but it is fitness clothes. You fill in a profile questionnaire and they select an ideal outfit for you. Also rubbish! Maybe you bought from them?

Avocado0nToast · 31/01/2018 07:43

Think it's this lot they are linked to, are all listed on website...

They're a carefully disguised subscription thing. You buy shoes or work out gear from them and hidden in the small print is your agreement to pay £35 pm with them for you to spend on work out gear/shoes.

If you've been paying for nearly 2 years and they will only refund 11 months, you could have hundreds of pounds available to spend on stuff so if you can't get your money back, you could see if there is anything you want - no an idea solution, but better than nothing.

But if you say you've never used it, there could be an email address error or fraud? I've heard that email addresses like [email protected] and [email protected] can sometimes get mixed up by google and all emails for [email protected] will actually go to [email protected] - might that be the problem?

JustFab is a scam. DH paid £35 for a pair of boots for me. What he didn’t realise and was very cleverly in fine print was that when you enter your details, they take is as a subscription which they charge every month. He realised this after the first monthly payment was taken, so called JustFab and gave them a piece of his mind. That’s when they revealed their conditions. We eventually got the money back.

I was scammed by them, too, but luckily I signed up via PayPal and got refunded in full.

Where's all this credit you've built up with them, then? They can't just take your money with no purchase or possibility of refund!

Check out moneysupermarket forums for help, maybe?
