Credit card debt help needed?

Can anyone help me with some advice on credit cards?

We have a cc & come next month there is going to be alot of interested added to it, we thought we could pay it off over the past few months but one thing after another has not allowed us to do so.

Once the interest goes on we are not even going to be able to afford to pay that each month.

Is there anyway you can get the interest stopped & try to pay of the amount owed?

Could you transfer the balance to a new card? HSBC are doing 0% for 12 months. I have just got one and transferred a balance so I can pay it off with no interest - I cut the card up as soon as it came though - so I can't be tempted to spend on it!

I have tried but i don't seem to be able to get one, not being accepted for some reason, maybe it is because we have just moved house?

Probably. have you tried phoning them and explaning the situation - maybe they would freeze the interest or temporarily suspend it? I think most places would prefer to make an arrangement that means they will get their money back rather than risk you not paying.

Would it work out cheaper to arrange an overdraft?

I will try phoning them on monday to let them know the situation. Already have an overdraft can't up that any further.
