What does it say beside it? Late payment charge?

dementedpixie · 29/01/2018 20:04

You have signed up to something called complete savings that charges a monthly fee of £15 i think. They give a 30 day free trial and then charge

Have you bought anything from argos recently? There's a thread on moneysavingexpert.com saying that an ad for complete savings comes up when you check out, and if you approve it you then get roped into this £15pm fee. Hate sneaky shit like that Angry

That's horrendous. Hope you can get your money back.

PotatoesOfTheCarribean · 30/01/2018 01:11

Email them and insist on your money back! Don't assume it'd down the drain.

slashdragon · 13/02/2018 21:36

I've just realised I've been paying this for 2 years and hadn't realised - I'd seen the transaction a couple of times and thought it was DH ordering parts as Jose sites he use come up looking like this transaction.

The bank say I must've ticked a box, probably on the train line or Premier Inn!

Thriving feckers. I'm so annoyed I didn't notice before as I'm on top of all direct debris etc, this just disguised itself. About £300 gone 😖

slashdragon · 13/02/2018 21:37

User did you get any money back?

user1487194234 · 13/02/2018 22:22

Yes Should have updated earlier but yes got it all back Took a few emails but then they caved

OP posts:
slashdragon · 13/02/2018 22:33

What did you say to them to get them to cave? If it's not too nosy that is.

user1487194234 · 13/02/2018 22:35

They did insist I had applied for their services But I know I did not

Sorry xpost
I emailed their customer services initially just saying I didn’t know what the payment was for
They came back within a day saying I had applied for the scheme when buying concert tickets a year before
I had bought the tickets but had not applied for their scheme
I went back and told them that and said I was going to Trading standards
They came back quickly to say that I had applied, and it was not a tick box but full details etc but as a gesture and because I had never used the service they would cancel and refund which they did and the money came through quickly
I am 100% sure I did not apply for this
I should have noticed the first time the payment went through

1 other thing I am not sure if it made any difference but I work in a legal office and with ny boss permission I sent my emails from there
Good luck,I had written the £ off in my head but getting it back was much easier than I thought thought it would be
