Hi everyone :)

I have a question, I'm working with a 0h contract, and I'm expecting a baby, will I get maternity pay or not?

I've been working in this place for 2 months now.

Thanks Smile

Not sure about the 0 hr part, but you have only been there 2 months, on that basis I would say no. I think you can claim maternity allowance, but from my understanding you have to have been working for a certain amount of time before a certain point in your pregnancy, you will have to provide payslips

What does it say in your contract?

Isu95 · 08/01/2018 12:52

It doesn't say nothing about it in my contract.
I'm just 6weeks pregnant and by the time I'll have to stop working, I will have work there for a few months already

It depends on your average earnings in the 8 weeks before week 32

No you won't. You'll have to claim maternity allowance. I had to check for someone the other day. They started their job in September. They needed to have started in June. Baby due 24/3. There is a SMP calculator on the .gov website. this will tell you.
