Best banking app for teens (repost)

Not getting any answers in Chat so thought I'd repost here...

I think my teenagers are ready to graduate from their GoHenry cards to a regular young persons bank account.

I've had a look at MSE and they all seem much of a muchness. DC like the GoHenry app so can anyone recommend a bank with similar or that their teenagers find user friendly?

Many thanks.

I'm not sure if it's similar to Go Henry but my teens use the HSBC app and seem to find it really easy to use.

Halifax Expresscash account for 11-17 year olds is really good they get a debit card and can use the mobile app.
Check out the website there are some "Teen Money" videos aimed at helping them manage finances etc.

Metro bank is fab. My son has a debit card, app on his phone and can pay money in 7 days a week which is really handy

My DD17 has a Santander mini 123 account, she gets some interest and she uses the app to view her balance and move money, so I think it’s easy to use. Plus the branch near us is open till 4pm on Saturdays which is handy for paying in cash and cheques from Christmas and birthdays!

How about Monzo?

I think you need to choose the account based on account suitability rather than howwnthe app compares to go Henry.

Mine are with Bank of Scotland. Have been since they turned 11. DS uses the app to check his account. DD uses the website, even on her phone as she isnt keen on the app.
