does anyone know what is the best way to give relatives money, if you live abroad?
My bank will only allow me to transfer a paltry amount.

We use PayPal, there's usually a delay in it clearing though. Sometimes a few days

PayPal but the exchange rates are pretty poor.

I know you can use Western Union, but not sure about the fees.

Paypal is a good choice, I would never in my life my life choose Western Union.
