For the first time on my DMP i am unable to make a payment. I don't know how i'm going to make it and i'm worried about discussing it with them because it was due to payday loans i took out while i am in my plan which you're not aloud to do. It's my daughters 9th birthday on the 7th and shes getting nothing. I feel awful. All of this spiralled out of control when my partner moved out. I can't make ends meet and having to put back my payday loans is increasing the interest. I can't win and don't know how to help myself :( anyone been in the same position?

I used to have a DMP with stepchange (all paid off now). If you cancel your direct debit you have 2 weeks to make the payment manually (you can do a bank transfer to their account details which are on their website). Would that be enough time for you to get the £ together?
If not I would call them and explain. They will be very kind about it and probably see it all the time. I’m guessing they would give you an extra few weeks to come up with the money. Don’t worry about it.
