How to find a will when you don't get on with executor

Hi

My query in my partner's father died in 2013 and his father's partner was made the executor; this is what my OH has been told by his aunt, as he has no relationship with his father's partner. His aunt told him that his father had written in the Will that his partner could stay in the house and then when she passed, the house would be split between the children (my OH and his "step-sister"). With having no relationship with his dad's partner how does my OH make sure his father's wishes are carried out? What is to stop her selling the house and moving somewhere else?

I've started contacting local solicitors but it's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack and as my OH has never seen a Will we're at loss. We're in scotland and from what I can gather wills aren't required to be registered.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Surely getting solicitors to contact the partner with them being allowed to see the will is the first step.
If they don't have the /a will can it be challenged in court.

If your OH wants to see his father's well then details to find them are here:
