Utter barstewards at ING - LOWERING the rate on the Web Saver account!

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Mervyn King just write to Gordon Brown because of rising inflation? So why have ING Directjust told me that the rate in my Web Saver account is dropping from 5.65% to 5.5%!!!!

Any suggestions for a different savings account?!

Are they good? I've heard the name a few times. They are Icelandic, aren't they? I just had a concern because I think only the first £33,000 is covered in case of default...

I use both ing and icesave. Both have been good. You would not be covered for any more with ING than you would for icesave.
