Been a bit silly

I claim as a single parent

I'm moving in with my boyf after xmas
And I've just had an email saying my housing benefit has been suspended
When I called them they said the dwp have told them I've moved !
But I haven't yet

My rent and tenancy is until 20th Jan so I'm moving over time until then

I've tried to call them but I can't get through

I only did a post redirect as I'm just been organised as I know I'm moving

I've never and would never try to be dishonest but I do have rent and bill to pay until I move in with him with is end Jan ? Help!

Hi OP,

HMRC update DWP regularly and putting a redirect on your mail has activated a housing benefit suspension.

You will have to go to your local authority & plead your case. Take your tenancy agreement and any utility bills that you have addressed to you at your current address and tell them calmly, that your rent is payable until the end of January. It will also help if your landlord can back this up.

It was a little forward in redirecting your post.

Or put your case in writing via email.
