Credit card payment?

I want to order some items online from a US company to shop to U.K. (quite well known company) and pay by credit card. They do have option to add to basket and check out but as I have received a discount and shipping is calculated separately, the options to pay offered were to complete credit card authorisation form and return via email... I don't feel this is a safe way. Am I correct? If so, can anyone advise how I should pay safely please l?

Should say "ship" to U.K.

purchases over £100 are automatically protected if you pay with a credit card

Thanks @DandySeaLioness is that even if I send cc details via email?

I wouldn't give my credit card details out over email.

what's the shop you're buying from, OP? can we have a link?
The email thing sounds unusual, might be worth a quick call to your credit card company?
