In a IVA, but got behind with bills again

Hi everyone, I have started a IVA this year in May. Everything has been going well and i am up to date with my payments, but due to being sick and not working for the last few months i couldn't afford to pay my bills. I am well now and going back to work, but my first pay won't be before January and by then i would probably end up having debt collectors at my door. I called Gas, water and concil tax to explain the situation, but they say they can't do anything if i don't pay now. Can i go through a DMP while I am going through a IVA? Or is there any solution? Thank you

Have you spoken with your IVA company? You may be able to take a payment break while you get back on track.

I’m not sure you can do a DMP while in an IVA.

Thank you for answering, my IVA is only £101, even if i don't pay i would still not afford the bills. I would probably go at Citizen Advice and see what options i have. Do they give advice in this kind of situations as well?

You can definitely get a payment break with an IVA ring and explain...what other bills would you have? Rent could be helped with housing benefit.
