Does my policy cover me even if im not a named driver on DPS car?
Heres what it says.
Where your certificate of mototr insurance allows we will extend the cover provided int his section to cover you while you are driving in the UK any other car not owned by you and not hired to you under a hire purchase agreement, as long as you have the owners permission to drive the car.
Cheers.

Yes (if your certificate says something like "any car" on it), but only 3rd party. It will not cover any damage/loss to your DPs car.

If your own insurance is fully comp most policies do cover you 3rd party on other cars as long as you are over 25.

To be exact on the certificate it says persons or classes of person allowed to drive.
The policy holder - who may also drive with the permission of the owner any private motor car not owned by the policy holder or hired to the policy holder under a hire purchase agreement.
