Car Insurance.....for a second car?

If we have 3 cars between 2 of us is the insurance terrible? Would I need to have business insurance for the 3rd car?

There is a valid reason (maybe?)

DH has a small efficient car
I have a large people carrier used for childminding

Regularily DH is out & I end up careering around the country in the people carrier by myself

Would it be more environmentally friendly to buy a second hand Smart car to whizz arround in when it is me alone or me & DD?

We live in the country miles from shops/school and any normal stuff (lots of sugar beet & the occasional cow/sheep/pig) so not driving is not an option

well id you never used it for child minding and only used it social domestic use then you would not need buisness cover

BUT my buisness cover cost me about £1 per year, so i think i'll always opt for it just in case

Is it a problem having 3 cars and 2 drivers?

no

so longs as one of the drivers is the registered owner and keeper you can have as many cars as you like.

you just have to tell them how many cars are in the family.

My old family had 6 cars between the 2 of them and 3 motorbikes, and a tractor!
