Finding an old workplace pension

Is there a way to find what happened to an old workplace pension? I did a few 6 months contracts years ago but it was when the compulsory pension came in, so I have two tiny pensions somewhere. I’ve not been able to find any of the pension documents at home, we’ve moved a few times since, don’t know where they have ended up.

Is there a data base somewhere? I want to consolidate these tiny pots to boost my current one, and so I can keep track of it.

Contact your old employers, who should be able to put you in touch with whoever manages the schemes they offer.
