Financial Advisors for single parents

Hello Mumsnet. Never thought I'd be posting this but life is strange. I am reluctantly having to consider that things may well be over between my partner and I, and if that's the case, I really need some financial advice from an individual not an online form! Anyone able to recommend a good IFA in Brighton & Hove who's used to working with single parents? I need a combination of mortgage advice & general financial management infofrom someone who also understands benefits to some degree. The ones i've looked at all seem to focus on investments/wealth management etc which all sound v nice but sadly aren't relevant to someone who isn't sleeping on a mattress stuffed with cash!! Thank you x

Contact your local CAB, they may have volunteer IFA's (I do a shift at ours and I know several others too). They can join the dots for you on benefits too.

Your council or local library should have a directory available too.

Good luck!
