New job and shared paternity leave

we are currently TTC and my husband has decided that he wants to start looking for another job. Am I right in thinking that if he moved jobs and I get pregnant in the near future he won't be able to share my maternity leave as he won't have worked in his new job long enough?

Think as a pregnant woman you'd have to be working for them for 26 weeks so I'd assume at least this for a guy on paternity.

That's only to receive the money, they have to allow the actual leave even if it's not paid

sorry yes I mean pay, I know it would only be statutory, same as me, but it would have been something :(

Have you got other children that you conceived very quickly? Normally, it can take even a year and one in six couples take longer than that/need medical intervention. What I'm getting at is that he might as well settle in a new job before you actually conceive. I wouldn't put his career on hold at this stage.
