Maternity allowance & paypal balance...

I'm just planning ahead here, as I have recently started a new business on Ebay. If I start receiving maternity allowance next year, am I able to still continue my business as long as I don't withdraw any money from my Paypal account until my maternity allowance ends? Or is it a case of closing the business for 9 months until my maternity allowance ends?

Are you on SMP or SMA? If the latter you are not allowed to work more than ten "keeping in touch days" in your current profession while in receipt of the allowance. Not withdrawing it from your PayPal account doesn't count as not earning if you are a sole trader or in a partnership.
