Franchise

I'm currently a sahm. I love spending more time with my children and finally having a bit of time to myself but hate not having an income. Thinking of investing in a francise which will be very part time with the potential to expand in the future. Everyone I have seen offers huge income for little effort which makes me skeptical. Not looking for life changing amounts just an income. Any one have any franchise experience who can offer advice both positive and negative.

What kind of franchise?

Eurovision · 09/09/2017 08:31

Have no idea really. Working from home ideally but think that might limit options too much.

99% of from home franchises will be "multi level marketing" (aka pyramid) schemes and yes, they're a total con. Examples include Yonique, Herbalife and that aloe Vera crap that I can't remember the name of.

I'm not saying it's not possible to make money from home but it takes a bit more planning / effort to set up a small business that's legit and profitable. It's doable tho!

Try to think of hobbies / talents / areas of expertise that you could use to make some money and take it from there.

Suspected the home franchise might be mlm which I don't want to do. Also sadly lacking talent and expertise. Think a part time evening job might be a better option for me.

Hi OP - I don't believe there's nothing you're knowledgeable about! Think outside the box and how you could make some money from it. It might not pop into your head as something obvious straight away but always keep thinking about it and something might fall into place. Good luck!

What franchise is it?

And beware magazines offering big returns for a few hours a week. You need to be a good sales person and lots of time to make them work. And personally I'd launch my own rather than pay franchise fee.
